My preferred Inventory of Gear and Software-

Capturing the Images-

  • Canon 7D with Zeikos Dual Battery pack
  • Canon 40D Backup Body
  • Canon 10D with Infrared conversion (Standard IR Filter)

HDR Essentials-

  • Feisol Tournament Carbon Fiber Tripod with Ball Head
  • SLIK  PRO 700DX Tripod with Panhead (Heavy-for Harsh Conditions)
  • Joby Gorillapod Focus with Ball Head, A must for shooting in Tripod Police Zones!
  • Promote Systems Promote Control, a must have for the Canon HDR shooter, although it is still not compatible with all Canon Models, I also carry the optional Shutter Release cable from Promote, and a set of spare cables.

Glass and Filters-

  • Canon 16-35 2.8 L USM
  • Canon 70-200 2.8 L IS USM
  • Canon 100mm Macro 2.8 L IS USM
  • Canon EF 50mm 1.8 Prime
  • Canon 10-22 EF-S
  • Tokina 10-17 AT-X Fisheye, for those must have Empress shots
  • Canon EF 20-35 Wide Angle for the 10D
  • Misc. ND filters

Flash Accesories-

  • Canon 580 EX
  • Canon MR-14EX  Macro Ring Flash

Carrying all that Gear on the Road-

  • Canon 200 EG Backpack I use for a smaller Mobile shooting bag
  • Tenba Shootout Medium Backpack(A beast) Normally handles everything for travel
  • There is no perfect bag that will hold everything but the Tenba is the best I found to carry most everything the way I prefer with nice protection

  • Adobe Lightroom for filing/catalogue and RAW file processing
  • Photomatix Pro 4.0
  • Adobe Photoshop CS5
  • Topaz Adjust and DeNoise
  • Imagenomic-Noiseware

  • Various NIK  tools
  • Silver Efex Pro

  6. Cool pics! What filters in Topaz Adjust do you use most for HDR? I have onOne and Nik suites and was thinking of getting Topaz Adjust as well.

      Topaz is nice, its one of the first software tools I started using, I use a few filters in Topaz adjust, I cannot think of the names off the top of my head because the new version just changed and is a bit different. Thanks for the visit
