Wednesday I had the pleasure to meet a couple of great photogs for a shoot in Pittsburgh PA, Peter Talke and Dave DiCello. Pete is part of the HDR Mafia in Ausin Texas, a great group of HDR shooters, most of which are on my list of great photography blogs. So I thought what the heck, we have an East Coast Chapter now!
We started out bright and early around 5am, a little bit of rain was not going to dampen our spirits or day. Pete started the day out right getting us booted out of a prominent downtown Hotel lobby at 5am, but not before several sets of brackets were fired off.
During the day we made our way through the North Shore, the Strip District, a great church and several other prime spots. I am not real high on pics of myself , but Pete had the idea of getting a group shot, when it was all said and after I started processing this shot I really liked how it came out.
The sad part of the day is when we hiked down to Carrie Furnace , it was a workout, through several fences, only to find someone was working in the facility, a real bummer. We called it a day and went for some food.

This was a 3 exposure set of brackets with tripod mounted Canon 7D, Photomatix, and OnOne.
We each have our own versions of this shot, so you may see some from the other two guys as well. I must say, if you ever get the chance to shoot with these guys don’t pass it up. It was a blast and we had a great HDR day, thanks Pete and Dave!
